What we’re up to virtually:

Street Level remains closed during summer 2020, but programs are still running online!

Multimedia journalism:

In summer 2020, Street Level staff and artists are working with 20 young multimedia journalists to explore themes surrounding civic engagement; they’ll be producing multimedia content to be shared on the Street Level blog, Mildsauce.  This program is made possible by a Youth Digital Media Activism (YDMA) grant from Chicago Learning Exchange. Partners for the summer 2020 program include the Chicago History Museum, Chicago Votes, UCAN, Urban Alliance, and Free Spirit Media.

Documentary projects:

Street Level staff members are working closely with a group of 10 young artists to produce documentaries that celebrate Chicago’s musical legacy with today’s youth in partnership with Marwen. This program is made possible by a grant from the Chicago Film Office. We’ll post info about how you can view the documentaries once they’re ready!
