Film Screening: “Colorism and the Black Body Image” by Justus White

Urban Gateways intern and youth participant Justus White has had a long relationship with Urban Gateways programs. He had his first video production experience through Urban Gateways’ Art Options summer apprenticeship program, and has been passionate about filmmaking ever since. Now a junior at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Justus has interned with the Urban Gateways Communications department and assisted Street Level by teaching video editing during their 2019 summer program.

Justus is screening his own project at Street Level on Friday, September 6! His 30-minute documentary short, “Colorism and the Black Body Image”, will be premiering Sept 6th at 12pm and 4pm at the Street Level sound stage, 1637 N Ashland Ave. Attendance is free!
